Beau Bassin

Beau Bassin is a small regional town in Mauritius.It links Coromandel to RoseHill.Frequently, people are confused about where Beau Bassin ends and where Rose Hill starts. This is one of the reason why they are called twins.
This town is not only a residential area, but a place of commercial small trade: multiple shops, Banks (Barclays Bank Ltd, Mauritius Commercial Bank, State Bank of Mauritius, Bank One Ltd)and supermarkets: Windsor SPAR and Tang Way. Actually, there are renovations at the "Marché de Beau Bassin". This builing form part of the historical background of the region. It was built in 1938, of corrugated sheefs roofs. eventually, with time it has rusted and today the Municipality is repairing the big damages it had faced. In addition, Beau Bassin, can be viewed as promoting a healthier society. The Pope Hennessy Gymnasium Complex combines several sports: judo. Promenade Roland Armand (linking Beau Bassin to Rose Hill) is well known amoung people of the locality for jogging in the morning and the afternoon. Other interesting places in the surrounding are the cosy gardens. Balfour Garden, is the key attraction in Beau Bassin. Since 1950, it became a municipal property.A garden giving view on the Grande Riviere Nord Ouest cascade. It is a peacefull as the Germain Comarmond family Garden or Daniel Bijoux Garden, but is at the same time a funny place for youngsters, middle age and old people, especially for children to have good time. Recently, Balfour Garden faced some innovations, a park for century tortoise were addded and a fountain replaced the swimming pool.
Food courts like PizzaDotCom, Mac N Ben, KFC, are few of the multiple places that are enjoyed by everyone visiting and living in Beau Bassin.
Each religion have a place to accomodate their pious members, churches , temples and mosques. Thus to end Beau Bassin is just an amazing, interesting, busy but also a peaceful town.
